River City Health delivers on the promise of better health, fitness and nutrition for each and every client.
Personal fitness, nutrition, and healthcare strategies lead to more productive lives.
River City Partnership on Health, Inc. (RCPH), brings the best of the technical world in disease management and physical rehab to the personal level. Principal Cyndy Nayer uses all the resources of RCPH to deliver a comprehensive lifestyle management strategy for each person, tailored to personal goals and realistic expectations.
RCPH excels in rehabilitative coaching beyond what physical therapists can deliver. We work to get the client to his/her goals, and we succeed with time-lining results and personal guidance.
Nayer rebuilt shoulder strength from a torn rotator cuff in a 65 year-old man and saved him from surgery and rehab that would have sidelined this client for 4-6 months. And, bringing the knowledge of consulting engagements allowed this person, who suffered from polio as a child, to also lose weight and improve his golf game!
RCPH has changed the eating habits of a woman and improved her physical fitness, leading to a 30 pound weight loss in 4 months and the beginning of a running/strength training program to advance her muscle/fat ratio. Bringing the knowledge of menopause management, health risk reduction and fitness improvement has led to a drop of 2 dress sizes—through weight training, Pilates, yoga, and more!
RCPH has improved the sports performance of an 18-year old baseball draftee. His nutrition is improved, his core strength is supporting his batting, and his speed/agility in catching has led to increased strength, increased coordination, and better concentration.
RCPH was engaged to help a triple-bypass patient return to her workout. Complicating the picture was her removal from hormones, depression, and increasing diabetes. Nayer worked with the client on managing multiple diagnoses, improving her HbA1C levels, dialoguing with her physicians about depression management, and improving her all-over strength and cardiovascular profile. Today that woman is on a yoga retreat, climbing mountains and feeling better about her long-term health prospects, including but not limited to fitness improvement.
RCPH was hired by a Fortune 100 company to improve the health status of leaders in a 30-days program and to train internal staff in delivering the program. Two implementations have yielded positive health change in the participants and the staff. Overall stats included reduction in body fat of 11.3%, increases in body strength up to 100%, reduction in blood sugar for a diabetic participant, and overall times improved in the running group.
